Leasing at Meadowlands
The main focus of horse lessons at Meadowlands is to develop the trust, respect and skills that nurture the relationship between humans and their equine partners. Our lesson programs offer a balance of groundwork, riding and liberty. All disciplines are welcome as the training is foundation based.
We offer a variety of programs: weekly riding programs on our lesson horses, theme specific 4-8 week courses, weekend workshops, 3-4 day clinics and 1-2 week intensive training events. Haul-ins for our programs are welcome.

We have some great lease horses available for most levels and types of riders.
Depending on availability, horse leasing is available on quarter, half and full lease programs. If interested in leasing, please connect with us to learn more about Meadowlands and our horses that are currently available for lease.
Our Team
In loving Memory of lolita (2000-2023)
Lolita was a 2000 Oldenburg mare. She had a good career as a competitive Show Jumper. She was also successful in the Dressage and Working Equitation arenas. Lolita was as spry as a five year old and carried herself with grace until her last day. She was enjoyed and loved by so many over the years. Her ability to do it all and her time to time sassy opinions will be missed by all.

Fiji is a 2000 Dutch warmblood/Hanovarian cross. She has gained experience in many different disciplines over the years, including dressage, hunter/jumper, cowboy challenge, trail riding and liberty. She has an innate ability to adapt to her riders skill level, making her a great horse for both novice and experienced riders. Fiji is ridden both English and western.

Fara is a 2005 Oldenburg mare.
She is known as the barn Princess, as she is always looking for attention.
Fara has experience in dressage, jumping, obstacle work, trails and field hunting. She has great training on the ground, including at liberty. Fara is suitable for all levels of riders.

Willow is a 2017 QH mare. Her quiet mind and sweet disposition make her a perfect candidate for our riding programs. Willow gracefully shows new riders the ropes and builds confidence with her gently personality, but is happiest out in the mountains or working cattle.

Ginger is a 2011 TB mare. She is wonderfully athletic, loves to jump and she enjoys connecting through groundwork and liberty. Ginger's sensitive nature makes here an appropriate mount for more intermediate and advanced riders.

Casper is a 2011 QH gelding. He is our groundwork and liberty school master. He loves to connect with people. His kind and quiet spirit make him a barn favourite.

Findley is a 2012 Brandenburg gelding. He joined the Meadowlands family a little under two years ago and it has been delightful to watch this athletic horse find his purpose. Findley enjoys; liberty, trail riding, jumping, dressage, pulling people around on sleds in the winter and more.
Findley is available for part lease.

Molly
Molly is a 2008 QH/Warmblood cross. She is truly the best of both breeds with the willing and trainable mind of the QH and the big movement and athleticism of the warmblood. Molly is extremely versatile, her favourite activities include Field Hunting, trail riding and liberty.

Clara is a 2016 Belgian Warmblood. Bred by Ironhill Equestrian Centre and out of their Grand Prix mare Glenn Devron and by the exceptional show jumping stallion Capone I. We are so excited to have this lovely young prospect as a member of our herd. Looking forward to developing this fantastic mare.

We welcomed Pippi, a TB/ Irish Draught cross to the herd on June 13, 2020.
Currently in 2023 she is getting her first rides, and from her introduction to gentle groundwork from an early age she is curious and kind. This next year of gently getting exposed to more rides already appears to be no big deal for this mare.
